The winter storm is causing some grocery stores around the country to close early – and at least one grocery chain preemptively announced on Jan. 24 that its stores would be closed the next day.

Dozens of Publix locations across central and north Alabama will be closing early today, Jan. 25, due to the winter storm causing wet and icy conditions across the Southeast.
