Amid shakeups at Xbox, Doom developer id Software is reportedly losing half its staff.
Before this week's Xbox layoffs that gutted the studio, DOOM dev id Software was "toying around" with several experimental, non-DOOM game concepts.
Software was reportedly toying with a bunch of ideas for future game projects when Microsoft laid off more than half of the studio.
"This is what insanity and despicable corporate greed looks like," said another artist.
The company is a tentpole of the Dallas game development scene.
