Cape Cod and the Islands didn't get the most snow from the Feb. 23 blizzard. Here's what the National Weather Service said.

National parks from as far away as Delaware and Maine are helping the Cape Cod National Seashore with storm damage assessment.

As of early morning on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 156,000 Eversource customers were reported without power on the Cape. The company reported that 80% of the Cape's three largest towns – Barnstable, Falmouth and Yarmouth – have no power, while 99-100% of Provincetown, Truro, Wellfleet, Eastham, Orleans and Brewster have no power.

A small update arrived to Call of Duty on February 25, and the patch notes detail a few bug fixes for Black Ops 7 and some notable weapon tuning for Warzone. Two days after the historic Blizzard of 2026 swept through Cape Cod, hundreds of thousands of people are still without power, and according to Eversource, it may stay that way until the end of the week.

The MSPCA-Angell has opened its Cape Cod adoption center to temporarily house residential pets whose homes do not have electricity following the major blizzard.
