Matthew Lillard had an important role in Five Nights at Freddy's, but his death makes his return in Five Nights at Freddy's 2 confusing for fans. In the first film, Lillard played a counselor helping Mike Schmidt (Josh Hutcherson) get a job as security at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza.

I’ve never had the experience, but surely playing the Five Nights at Freddy’s video games is far more enjoyable than watching their big screen incarnations, which now unaccountably amount to two.

Fans of the games will be overjoyed by how beautifully these animatronics are brought to life and all the visual and musical references to a series they’ve loved for years.
