Block 1: cool layer—flat, light green-blue Block 2: warm layer—yellow with hand painted red details (definitely didn’t forget I was taking a video toward the end of this clip) Block 3: secondary key layer—teal reflection lines in the water, details in the sky Block 4: primary key—main linework in dark green The blocks are registered (aligned with each other) using a cardboard jig, which is taped to the table
